So, this is it. These ads for the Spring/Summer 2014 collection are the last product of Marc Jacobs’ tenure at Louis Vuitton. And he delivers.
The campaign features Jacobs’ all-time favorite muses like Catherine Deneuve, Sofia Coppola, Gisele Bündchen, Caroline de Maigret and Edie Campbell. Shot by Steven Meisel, the power women all pose with a variation of the bucket shaped Noé bag. A clear indication of Vuitton’s new focus on luxury accessories.
The result is classy and deliciously melancholic. My favorite is the French style icon Catherine Deneuve. Note to all woman and drag queens: this is how you want to grow old. Regal and dignified. What a lady.
